Step-by-Step: Buy Bitcoin with Mobile Money (Binance P2P)

Create a Binance Account
Go to binance.com and create a free account with your email address. Complete identity verification (KYC) β you will need a national ID or passport. This is a legal requirement and protects you as a buyer.
Go to P2P Trading
In the Binance app or website, navigate to Buy Crypto β P2P Trading. Select Buy, choose BTC (Bitcoin), and set your currency to UGX (Ugandan Shilling).
Filter by Mobile Money
Filter payment methods to show MTN Mobile Money or Airtel Money. You will see a list of Ugandan sellers with their prices, ratings, and trade counts. Choose a seller with a high completion rate (95%+) and many trades (100+).
Place Your Order
Enter the amount in UGX you want to spend (minimum ~15,000 UGX). Click Buy BTC. Binance holds the seller's Bitcoin in escrow β the Bitcoin is already secured before you send any money.
Send Mobile Money & Confirm
Send the exact UGX amount to the seller's Mobile Money number shown in the chat. Once sent, click Transferred, Notify Seller in the Binance app. The seller confirms receipt and Binance releases the Bitcoin to your account. Usually completed in 5β15 minutes.
Withdraw to Your Own Wallet
